We have assumed that your new heat pump system will achieve a SCOP of 4.5 at a flow temperature of 40°C. This may vary when we carry out a full detailed design and specification. Approximately, this makes your new heat pump system 5.3 times more efficient than your existing system.
For your current mains gas supply, you have indicated a per kWh cost of 6p and a standing charge of 31.4p. For the purposes of the illustration, and based on the tariff you have selected, we have assumed that the average cost of electricity is 23.77p per kWh and the standing charge is 48.79p.
